After Being Failed by My College's Administration, I Posted My Rapist's Name and Photo on the Internet  → xojane.com

The story of my rape is full of those “How-could-you-be-so-stupid?” moments that enable outsiders –– often police, district attorneys and academic staff –– to dismiss a victim’s claims. As if a woman’s “stupidity” can magically transmute rape into not-rape. As if naïveté is a rapeable offense.

Ask me to take a picture of any aspect of my life that you're interested in/curious about - it can be anything from the house I live in to my favourite shoes. Leave your choice here as an ask, and I will reciprocate by taking the pictures and posting them later here. Be as random as you like, make it interesting!

Unapologetically Summer: Musings on the 15th anniversary of "Underworld" → anricat.tumblr.com

Something that should no doubt interest music fans out there and anyone looking to record an album.  How things have changed, eh?  Also, at the risk of sounding like an arrogant tosser (Probably am one too you know) I have one of those posters she mentioned at the end of the post.  Just boastin’ is all.

anricat:

Looking back over the past 15+ years at my journey as an independent musician and thinking on my (first) band, the Machine in the Garden, I’m struck by how hard it was back then. Not that it’s not hard to be a musician now, but sometimes I’m amazed at all the hurdles we overcame fifteen years ago…

Good news!!!

On Friday I received the news that I passed the last of my Final Admission Exams for Chartered Accountants Ireland, which in short means that I am now a Chartered Accountant!!!!  Woohoo!!!

Spent Friday celebrating in town as well as catching up with the office and my old workmates.  Now I just need to find a job and earn that lovely lovely accountant money.  In the meantime, I’ve a stack of photos to sort out as well as the job hunt.  That should keep me busy for a while.
